Seoul Hanyoung University Graduate School.

I sincerely welcome you in the name of our Lord Jesus!

This graduate school was established for the purpose of cultivating holistic individuals who embody both intellectual excellence and integrity of character, possessing practical skills to serve their neighbors and the global community, guided by a Reformed faith and biblical worldview that align with Seoul Hanyoung University’s educational ideals of truth, spirituality, and practice.

The graduate school program consists of majors in theology, missiology, social welfare, counseling, and child studies.

The theology and missiology majors provide concentrations in Old Testament studies, New Testament studies, historical theology, systematic theology, practical theology, and missional theology, aiming to nurture scholars, church leaders, and missionaries who embrace the Bible, the Word of God, as the standard for faith and life, and faithfully follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the Counselor.

The social welfare major cultivates scholars and practitioners equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to deliver effective social welfare services, address social issues, and improve social welfare policies, with its graduates serving as social workers essential to building a welfare state and society where systems and institutions are established to uphold human dignity, values, and quality of life.

The counseling psychology major nurtures scholars and professional counselors with specialized knowledge and skills necessary for addressing counseling outcomes, client characteristics, counseling theories and practices, counseling effectiveness, and counseling psychology curricula, aiming to promote the recovery of individuals and families and foster healthy social communities by supporting individuals’ psychological and emotional well-being and addressing social issues.

The child studies major nurtures scholars and professionals equipped with specialized knowledge and skills necessary to cultivate and guide future talents who will positively influence the next generation. The program emphasizes healthy child growth and development, early childhood education and counseling, child health and safety, protection from abuse, neglect, and discrimination, education through play, exposure to diverse cultures, assurance of children’s rights to expression and participation, and comprehensive child education programs including counseling and play.

Finally, the graduate school is committed to cultivating global leaders needed by the rapidly changing Korean and global society. By joining the family of this graduate school, we hope you will develop innovative leadership grounded in intellectual excellence, spirituality, and exemplary character—qualities demanded by this era—to enhance the well-being of our people and communities.
